Minibus driver
and receptionist
Rouge and Diable is looking for employees for the position of Minibus Transportation Specialist and Greeter for its canoe, kayak and SUP rental center in Mont-Tremblant. This position is mainly to ensure the transportation of participants to external activity sites, to welcome and inform clients and to ensure the handling of equipment.
Responsibilities
Drive the minibus and trailer to transport groups from Base de Plein Air Mont-Tremblant and Expéditions Rouge and Diable to outdoor activity sites (expeditions, climbing, horseback riding, arrival/departure).
Fill and empty trailers with equipment (kayak, canoe, paddle, PFD).
Transport kayaks and canoes by ATV from the river exit point to the camp.
Prepare equipment and vehicles for the river trip.
Welcoming clients, providing equipment, giving safety instructions and ensuring the smooth running of activities.
Ensure that all clients are wearing proper safety equipment and are familiar with its use.
Ensure that clients are safe throughout the river trip and intervene in case of problems.
Performs routine checks on equipment and vehicles to ensure their safety.
Provide customer service by phone and email and follow up on online reservations
Performs related tasks for the smooth operation of the Base de Plein Air Mont-Tremblant and Expéditions Rouge and Diable (maintenance, preparation of special projects, support for the animation) as needed, during working hours.
Profile required
Residency status or valid work permit to be employed in Canada
Valid driver's license and good driving record (a valid class 4B license is an asset)
Level of education: Secondary 5
Experience in summer camps, outdoor activities or driving vehicles and trailers is an asset
Description of skills
Good customer management skills
Manually skilled
Good driving skills with a trailer
Able to lift heavy weights, perform repetitive movements
Versatile, resourceful, autonomous and reliable
Able to work alone or in a team
Concerned with a job well done
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Good command of French and spoken English
More information
The target period for activities is May to September
Weekends in May and September (to be discussed)
Open 7 days/week between June 23 and August 30
5 working days/week, two consecutive days off (possibility of variation of days during the summer)
Salary: $16 to $18 / hour depending on experience and salary range
-Room and board, in exchange for a very modest pension deducted from your pay. Lodging in Mont-Tremblant on the lakefront. Three meals prepared for you each day from June 25 to August 20.
